Basic Granola Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of quick oats
  • 1 cup of nuts (I usually use slivered almonds)
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cup of oil (I use avocado oil)
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Combine oats, nuts, and cinnamon in a bowl
  3. In a separate container, stir together oil, honey, and vanilla extract
  4. Pour mixture into the bowl with the oats and mix well.
  5. Spread granola evenly onto 1 or 2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper.  Make sure it’s spread out sparsely, otherwise it won’t get crispy.
  6. Place baking sheet into oven for 8 mins. Take out the baking sheet and flip the granola around before placing it back in the oven for another 5-8 mins, or until golden brown.
  7. Take the granola out of the oven, and let it cool completely. It will be crunchy when it’s cooled.
